Great news for Beulah!

I got word last night that thanks to the efforts of the Beulah Boosters and cooperation of the Beulah Village Council, Beulah will have a “Day Dock” so that visitors from around the lake will be able to come by boat to town.  Spec’s are for a dock wide enough for benches to watch sunsets, and space for eight boats to tie up so people can go in and enjoy (read spend some money) in town.

This is something I’ve been railing about privately for a long time, and I think will be an awesome addition to the village- I can’t wait to use it.

The project of course has to go through MDNRE approval, but hopefully we’ll see it in place yet this year.

Kudos to the Beulah Boosters and John Darien of John Darien Homes whom I understand did a yeoman’s job in presenting the project.  As I understand it, this is moving forward because one individual is fronting the money for the project, to be reimburse through future fund raising.
