Good kids

My oldest son turned ten earlier this month and today was his birthday party with his friends.  The boys spent good share of the day in Crystal Lake, first jumping off the raft, then tubing, then playing keepaway with the football.  While drying off and warming up on the deck the four boys devoured a huge plate of fruit kebobs, totally ignoring the chips.

Then more water time, including sailing and more tubing before dinner.  After dinner of course came cake, a campfire, and some fireworks at dusk.

When I herded them all in to bed (we're camping out, just the guys, in our travel trailer) they all dug out a book to read.

Every parent questions themselves from time to time.  It's days like this that make you realize "Yeah, we're doing OK."
