I'm a dad, a husband, a REALTOR, sales manager, Director with one of the largest Real Estate Brokers in the nation, thinker of big thoughts, prefer my dreams and aspirations to be juicy and nearly overwhelming.
I am passionate about the real estate industry, not just the business, and volunteer my time so I can be involved in how the future of the industry evolves. I've been president of a local Realtor association, RPAC Chairman, and on December 3, 2009 will be sworn in as District 2 Director for the Michigan Association of Realtors.
I dig technology, am stubborn enough to be self taught in most applications, and don't always delegate well enough. I'm also a big fan of social networking, whether it's via web elements like Facebook, Twitter and blogging, or through making connections in social settings, service groups and my community.
I love life, have fun, am taller IRL, and I want to change the world.

This was an interesting look at Holland Michigan Home sales. http://www.cbgreatlakes.com/Blog/Holland_Michigan_Home_Sales_Price_Per_Square... For the most part in more rural markets, we don't focus much on price per square foot- there just aren't enough similar properties to make a comparison. Said another way, when it comes to Northwest Michigan Real Estate, most homes are somewhat unique, whether is it the amount of land, or the view, or the style or construction. Full disclosure- I am reposting this not just to share the information, but as a demonstration/experiment in affect of blogging on search relative to Holland Michigan Homes.
Drive a car, raise money for schools
Stop by Crystal Lake Elementary in Benzonia tonight beginning at 5:30 and take part in Chrysler’s Drive for your Schools program. The crew from Watson’s Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep will be there with new vehicles to test drive, and Chrysler will donate $10 per test drive to our schools.
I’m hoping they bring a Challenger… of course, I might not bring that one back if they do.

I shot this video of this prime piece of Betsie River real estate on a beautiful late July evening- I could almost hear the brown trout rising in the Betsie River. This riverfront property is truly a paradise for a fly fishing enthusiast, or anyone who loves the flow of nature.

I figured this was our last shot of sunshine for the day. We stopped to let the kids swim near the drop off.
Hot deal with a lake to cool off in
To be clear, I have not yet been out to this listing, and I’ve been fooled before. But I noticed in on the MLS and if someone is looking for a “starter” getaway on a lake in Northwest Michigan, this bears consideration.
It’s an older mobile home (yeah, I know, not exciting so far) on an 80 foot lot on Lake Ann, which is a really nice lake that’s about 15 miles from Traverse City. Price is just $150,000.
Nothing fancy, just a relatively inexpensive lakefront getaway.
